Description
This is a one-day course being held at Tiptree Community Centre (Small Hall) – the class will have up to 8 students.
In this one day course, you will learn the basics of silver clay, which will enable you to make your own jewellery (pure silver once fired). You will then fire and polish your work. 10g of silver clay will be provided within the course fee and this is usually enough to make 2 to 3 pieces depending on your design. This class generally runs for around 3.5 to 4 hours, but sometimes depends on how much finishing we need to do to your pieces. Silver clay can be fired by torch, on a gas hob or using a kiln, I will talk you through all 3 processes.
In this class you can make earrings, pendants or charms. I will have a limited amount of basic findings such as jump rings available to use/purchase.
If you’ve never tried this medium it is the quickest way to achieve fine silver jewellery and the feel of it is pure alchemy. If you are into eco crafts, you could argue this is perfect as the silver is recycled from the car manufacturing industry.
In this class I will bring all the Christmas themed cutters and textures for you to either make yourself some special Christmas jewellery, or you may make a gift for someone else (that doesn’t have to be Christmassy).
COST
This is a special price as I am running a bigger class than the one’s I teach at home. The £90 fee includes 10g of clay and a Paypal markup – if you’d prefer to pay by bank transfer do get in touch.

Class runs from 10 – 3pm. Classes take place at Tiptree Community Centre, Tiptree, Essex.
