Make Felt – Wet ane needlefelting techniques day

In this full day class I will teach you how to make felt using both the wet felting technique, which can be used to make flat felt but also hollow pieces, such as bags or sculpted pieces such as bowls, as well as needlefelting which is great for embellishment and also making 3D creatures.  You will be able to choose a project during the class. I will also show  you how to embellish your work using needlefelting techniques.  I can tailor the class to include what you want to do – for example I am running a class on making needlefelted mice soon which was by request. Wet felting requires the use of warm water, soap and plenty of friction to shrink the wool top fibres which will fuse them together to create your felt.

I also run a Needlefelting half day class which works by forcing the felt tops (pre-spun wool) into itself or perhaps a (polystyrene) structure and then repeatedly forcing it with a needle, this fuses the fibres together to create felt.
