I am really excited to update you that the next lot of Seasons Art classes which will start at the end of July are being planned. The gallery shows a selection of what the students have learnt over the 14 week classes. Starting with drawing techniques we build up the basic building blocks and then move on to oil pastels, watercolour and finally acrylics before completing our time with a session to mount our pieces and then the exhibition – which is an opportunity to enjoy the work created over the 14 weeks. I’ve just updated the website – I know it’s been a while! My girls are at Guide Camp so I’m taking my mind off it by catching up on some admin.

Hopefully, you’ll find all the info you need here but do get in touch if anything does not make sense. If you want to do crafts as a group I’d love to hear from you and am more than happy to discuss costs, email me here.

Well that wasn’t what I was expecting!

I thought once the girls went back to school I’d be able to get on with everything again. Ha! Covid hit home with 2 positive test results, conveniently 2 weeks apart so it left us with a month of isolation. Fortunately, no one was too ill but it has meant another batch of postponed classes, lost income and admin hassles! Oh dear, get out the violins.
On a positive note, it has meant I have been able to work on my Camp PMC 103 – Soldering and fusing class (pictures below). So I am now much happier with my soldering skills and look forward to incorporating those into classes in the future.
Once half term is over I’ll update you on course dates and things planned for the next few months. Can’t believe we are at this end of the year already! Once again it has been a busy few months here at CG Crafts, catching up after the summer holidays and now getting ready for (gasp) Christmas! I thought I’d share some photos of what recent students have made and also list the next few events coming up…I am nervously revisiting craft fairs this year, so it would be wonderful to see some friendly faces there! If not there, perhaps you can buy me a wine afterwards to help me recover!!

I have lots of class information available on my website www.curly-girly.co.uk, where you can also book gift vouchers for a friend, or even better get a friend to book for you! You can also email me about this. Vouchers come with a personalised gift letter describing class options and who sent it!  I teach Enamelling (see picture), Encaustic art, Feltmaking, Flamework (Making glas beads with a hot head torch) and Silver Clay, all of which make fabulous experiences for those who love crafting.

I also have 2 new venues to teach at in Walton-on-the-Naze in 2017, so if you live in that area do get in touch.
